The Wythenshawe Church of England Team
The Wythenshawe Church of England Team Ministry is an alliance of five Anglican churches in Wythenshawe. The Team is made up of the following parishes:
St. Francis, Newall Green.
St. Luke the Physician, Benchill.
St. Martin, Baguley.
St. Richard of Chichester, Peel Hall.
William Temple, Woodhouse Park.
The team is both an administrative union and a practical union. Each parish in the team has a Parochial Church Council which delegates certain powers to the Team Council. The Team also organizes special services and events for all team members. The Team maintains links with other churches in Wythenshawe of many denominations. Churches Together in Wythenshawe organise regular events involving people from Anglican, African Methodist, Baptist, Evangelical, Kings, Methodist, Penticostal, Roman Catholic and United Reform Churches. These events include the annual Good Friday Walk of Witness followed by an open-air service in Wythenshawe Civic Centre. St Martins Church hold regular jointly-planned worship with the Methodist Church in Baguley.
